What's new with BrickWood door handles

BrickWood Ovens has made two updates to our wood door handles to improve durability and give you more control over the finished look.

1. Handles now ship unstained. Many customers asked for this. Previously, handles came with a natural-colored stain and top-coat. Shipping them unstained lets you choose the stain type, color and top-coat finish that best matches your project.

2. Upgraded from red oak to white oak. White oak is an excellent choice for outdoor use:

  • Durability: White oak is renowned for its resistance to decay and wear, making it ideal for outdoor conditions.
  • Water Resistance: This wood is almost impervious to water, protecting it from moisture damage.
  • Rot Resistance: White oak withstands damp conditions for enhanced longevity.
  • Ease of Finishing: Its grain structure absorbs finishes evenly for a smooth, consistent appearance.

The result is a handle that lasts longer and is easier to finish beautifully.
