Super Duty Refractory Mortar | Dry Heat-Set, 2900°F, 55 lb Bag

BrickWood Super Duty Refractory Mortar is a dry, heat-setting, high-alumina mortar for laying fire brick in very high-heat equipment. It is rated for service up to 2900°F and ships as a 55 lb bag of dry mix: just add water.

• Super duty, high-alumina formula (about 47% alumina)
• Dry mix: add clean water (about 20–25% by weight) and mix
• No flow, cracks or shrinkage in testing at 2910°F
• Coverage: about 250–400 lb per 1,000 standard fire bricks, depending on joint type

Heat-setting mortar: it develops its full bond only at very high, kiln-level temperatures. That makes it ideal for kilns, forges, furnaces and industrial equipment.
